Had another look at this one, and while it looks 3.11 badge in most frames![]() ... possibly the clearest seems to show 2.11 ![]() and plate info suggests another 2.11 (17.16) We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided SEDDON ATKINSON 2-11 SERIES N17 P16 1990 Registration number: G267 KAW Body type: Refuse Disposal Colour: Red Date of first registration: March 1990 So switching to 2.11. Just to make things more interesting, there's no SAM badging and I'm fairly sure the writing above the cab in 2nd thumb of first comment says NORBA, as this link Is the plate legible in that original?? Looks like it might start with G - could it be similar to G267 KAW?? |

Definetly Norba above cab ,also SAM seemed pretty adept at putting big SAM badges on grilles and these are not present. -- Last edit: 2018-07-27 21:51:38 |

Just to add more to the facscinating ( to me ! ) complexities of Seddon Atkinson refuse trucks in Oldham , the dvla details for G267KAW are clearly for a six wheel truck but the Norba first post second thumb looks like a four wheeler to me. However the vehicle details given in post two ie N17 P16 would mean a four wheeler ( first figure is gross weight and max for a four wheeler then was 17tes second figure means Perkins 160T engine). -- Last edit: 2018-07-28 07:59:59 |

To add more, in my dustcart book there is a B+W picture of G262KAW a four wheel Seddon Atkinson 2-11 N17P16 with Norba body in Manchester City Council livery which looks similar to 2nd thumb and could be the one in Commercial Motor article above.![]() -- Last edit: 2018-07-28 10:46:12 |

Another similar/same Norba similar glimpsed in ep1.02 soon afterwards![]() and probably the one in right of ![]() No clear view so might as well park it here. |
