If I'm not mistaken, the front nameplate reads " F O R D". Could it be a 1970 Maverick ? Or a 1971 Pinto?

Going by the mirrors and aerial it could also be a Mustang II (1974-1978)

That car is a 1976 Mustang. The only year of Mustang II to have orange instead of clear front turn signals. http://www.mustangii.org/tech/grills/

The 1974 Mustang has some differences from the 1975 through 1978. For 1974 the turn signals have a bar across their centers. The grille is flatter and recessed. The fiberglass nose is wider front to back in front of the hood and the front edge of the hood is straight across. The gas cap is below the line in the body. 1974 engine options were a 2.3L inline 4 cylinder or a 2.8L V6.

1975 brought the 302ci (5.0L) V8 option and many changes had to be made to accommodate it. In addition to the differences above, the 75-78 gas cap was moved above the body line, an extra gas tank (optional for the 4 and 6) was fitted into the left rear wheel well for the V8, there were structural changes in the front, a different radiator and many more little things.
