no but multiple german car shows tested it in multiple ways

one tested it on the race truck a against a Dodge Challenger , guess what the 1 st lap the Tesla was confortably ahead but then it's electric poiwer was cut down and the Dodge was way ahead by the end of lap 2

another show tested the range of such Tesla and it couldn't even do half the promised range....

the supposed green car, yeah as if that electric energy it requires comes out of thin air and not some polluting power station too :o

and lastly lithium is a big pain the ass to obtain and China has by far biggest reserves , so yeah put your balls in their hands so they can strangle it better

So many of the Tesla pages on IMCDb have this kind of discussion in the comments :D

Ugh, I hate whenever electric cars are compared to conventional fossil fuel cars. It's so unimaginative. I mean, For the past century and beyond, fossil fuel cars have always been endorsed by the mainstream, constantly "evolving", while electric cars have been the butt of curiosity and ridicule until the last ten years or so. Give them a rest already. They've already come such a long way by now, so wait and see how they fare ten years from now.

In Norway, the majority of electric power originates from hydroelectricity, and as such electric cars really are clean.

I'm not really a Tesla kind of guy but I can't help but wonder sometimes, if Tesla owners and fans see my old cars like my 1984 Honda Accord or especially my huge 1978 Oldsmobile Delta 88, and look at me/the cars with contempt like I'm destroying the planet or something... :/

maybe not all of them, maybe some are buying those cars to compensate for their F-350 or something like this that pulls their huge boats 2-3 times a year but are used to go to the grocery store less than a 1/4 mile away.. :D

all is relative... i saw once a Prius getting beaten.. why getting an Hybrid car that is supposed to save gas if you're gonna beat it ...

Yeah, I feel the same way with my '00 Avensis and my '87 Passat. It's my honest opinion that you should have the freedom to own and drive whatever car you like.

In all fairness, I drove a 2009 Toyota Prius for a few months back in 2013/2014, and it's probably the most relaxing car I have ever driven. Also, in terms of fuel economy, the old Avensis is much more efficient than my mom's 2014 Skoda Yeti, which speaks volumes in my opinion.

unless the green cars manufacturers get the free giveaway bug and give everyone on Earth one of their products we are stuck to drive what we can afford anyway.. :)

or choose to drive like Lateef said

Battery cars = technological blind alley, bought buy the Hollywood "virtue signaller" types who can't resist lecturing the unwashed masses and people whose conscience gets in the way of reality and common sense.

Has anyone considered yet how to power 40 tonne trucks? The batteries needed to move one 10 miles would probably weigh 20 tonnes, how else are we going to deliver the gluten-free quinoa to their favourite artisan bakery, or the walk-in Smeg fridge or the (oil fired) Aga?

Bring on Hydrogen...............
