RDU 253 was March 55 plate, probably factory registered. There was a solitary works entry on this event for Sheila Van Damm in a Mk.III, finished 3rd o/a and 3rd in class, but plate unknown. |

PWK 603 to 605 were a batch of 4 works cars (with 606) first prepared for the 1955 Monte. In 1956 Monte they were entered for Peter Harper, Sheila Van Damm and Jimmy Ray - all finished (with Harper 3rd o/a) and won the Manufacturer's Team Prize for the 3rd time, so it was awarded permanently. This was the last but one event for works Mk.IIIs which were replaced after the 1956 RAC by the Rapier. 603 and 605 still survive today. |
