Fairly sure by now that there's several of these blue Cav hatches involved. Most are boggo L trim, but some have coachlines. Other details vary - eg ep2.11 looks like body colour mirrors with shiny trim, not convinced they all have same wheel formats etc. But the genuine A725 UYE L hatch sailed through until 1999, so is likely to be the main car used.

"Ep1.07 2* at 12-34 - probably meant to be A725 UYE again ... I don't think coachlines and wheel covers are same"

Appears the above are base saloons or hatches - no nearside door mirror only a blanking plate -edit: (so not damaged or an actual L or above saloons hatchback).
Wheel covers too late I believe (by at least a couple of years) should be steel wheels and silver (base/L) or black (GL) plastic centre caps I think on early cars, as in the other pictures.
Coachline looks very suspect to me (too thick?) probably a very poorly resprayed car.

So much plate switchery here. Reverted to no trim level. The main plate returns a 1984 base model. However, there is an L and GL intermingled with the base.

For what it is worth that is the VIN for the main plate.

84 is a base model code.

84E5053481

84 = Sedan 4-door hatchback
E = 1984
5 = Antwerp II (Belgium)
053481 = serial number

If this was an L or GL the model code would be 89.

• 81 = Sedan 2-door notchback
• 82 = Caravan 4-door
• 83 = Caravan 4-door luxury
• 84 = Sedan 4-door hatchback
• 86 = sedan 4-door notchback
• 87 = Sedan 4-door notchback luxury
• 88 = Sedan 2-door notchback luxury
• 89 = Sedan 4-door hatchback luxury
