This is my Kombi. I've had her since 1990, second owner. Her original color, white. Painted what I'd call medical scrubs green by first owner shortly before I bought her. I finger painted her tie dye rainbow in '01, reapplying/refreshening twice. The AMC production company painted her this two-tone scheme. As of this posting she sits in my driveway where she's sat since about a month after AMC returned her to me, disabled because of the repeated abuse of filming Christina Hendrick's getaway scene. Most likely diagnosis, cracked connecting rod. |
