Not just any old Routemaster - this is RM3 (SLT58), originally RML3, one of the four prototypes, and the only one with a Weymann body, new in 1957.

You can see it fully restored to original style bodywork at the Cobham Bus Museum, where it now lives.

It does annoy me when any bus is used in a film, and nobody can be bothered to make sure the route number, intermediate list and destination blinds, don't match up!! The 266 NEVER went anywhere NEAR 'OLD FORD'(trolloybus replacement for the 666), went around west London from Hammersmith to Golders Green. Old Ford would have been the '8'

Believe the route 8 was in fact one of RM3's haunts, during its first few months in evaluative service.
