We don't have chassis type/model, which seems to be hard to find and hard to believe that "8x8" is the whole designation.
Anyway better "Timoney Carmichael Cougar" (though "Carmichael Cougar" with "Timoney"/"Timoney chassis" in extra info field also wouldn't be wrong to me).

With 'normal' domestic fire appliances they are referred to by the truck chassis maker ie Scania, Volvo, Dennis .
But it seems to get a lot more complicated with these specialist airfield trucks as much more of the machine is built by the specialist fire engine body builders and they often are registered in the body builders name not the chassis makers.

I had come across Timoneys before in use by the USAF and incorrectly assumed they were American.

As we already have a few Carmichael, I would rather use that as a make ; also if the whole vehicle is rather considered as a product from them.

It's registered with DVLA as a Timoney so I say lets stick with this.
The USAF ones are all known as Timoney's

This is true, though worth to say, that sometimes even these, let's say, "normal"-"light" conversions can be registered under body maker name - matter of country or even matter of who sells the final vehicle.
