All of the extras at the drag race scene were the owners of the cars they used. I think it was somehow cheaper to hire the owners as extras and get them to bring their cars then to just rent the cars. It was filmed at an old airstrip, we had a ton of fun doing burnouts all morning long, just to lay down some rubber and make it look like a drag strip! They really bagged on that Viper that day!
