An interesting article in an interesting Facebook page mentions that this last iteration of the Vanden Plah was called the 1.7, not the 1750. https://www.facebook.com/Leyland.Chronicles/posts/2352161281575594 But then again, this car doesn't have the flat bootlid, black windscreen surround, black door mirrors and black wiper arms the 1.5/1.7 had. It must an earlier 1500. That one, however, is a 1.7 : /vehicle.php?id=1352202 -- Last edit: 2020-09-19 00:26:08 |

Ooops wires crossed - Automatic was 1500 on Mk1 (Sept 74+) and Mark 2 (Oct 75+), and only increased to 1750 on final Mk3 (Oct 79) to end of production August 80. So plate info is correct as stated, and it must be one of the last Mk2s. |
