The salesman is driving down a highway when the car is introduced with a hitchiker named Brett who is going down to Florida. She hears something on the radio telling them to get off the road and tells the salesman to get his hand of her leg or else and she yanks the steering wheel out of his hand as they swerve into the Dixie Boy truck stop. The salesman starts arguing to Brett after she damages his brand new Cadillac Coupe DeVille. While arguing, the Happy Toyz Co. Western Star attempts to run down the salesman, who, Brett saves. While the salesman is talking to Wanda June and another Dixie Boy employee, the Autocar A64 is driving around and rams the Cadillac and spills trash all over it. The Bible salesman then runs out of the truck stop yelling and swear at the Autocar.Just then, the Western Star starts up and goes into reverse, then backing up, it heads for the salesman. Billy grabs the salesman who pushes Billy away and starts running. When he reaches a ditch, the truck hits him and fataly wounds him. The Cadillac plays a minor role with 2 stars or 3 at most. The other DeVille is Hendershot's car. The license plate reads "Bubba". The car does not move for the entire movie, although it is seen many times.

It would have been a little more interesting to have had the Bible salesman drive something more like a 1970's Dodge Royal Monaco. But the Cadillac really fits Hendershot. Oh and Bubba's Caddy diserves 2 stars and the salesman's should get 3 or 4 stars.
antp ◊ 2006-05-31 22:09	The stars are for the use of the car, not for the fact that the owner is nice or not That car gets 3 stars because it is used in more than one scene. The other one is only background (or could be considered as involved in minor action, though the car is only parked & pushed).
explorer4x4 ◊ 2006-05-31 23:36	Well, Hendershot's car is seen from the second scene throught-out the movie to the third-to-last scene and is pushed by the Caterpiller in one scene, I think it should get more then 1 star. The Bible salesman's Cadillac should get 2 stars as it is seen through most parts of the movie, although, not as much as Bubba's but then it is used as the subject for one whole scene when it is driven and wrecked by the Autocar. And, a character is murdered in front of Bubba's Caddy by the Willys Mechanical Mule.

I remember it as beeing seen for longer time (and better visible) than the parked one, which is most of the time only background car. Did you remove one of your message (something posted after 22:01, before my other message)? Or did I misread your 22:01 post? explorer4x4 ◊ 2006-06-01 02:13	Nop, I didn't remove a comment, are you thinking about 21:58? That one I edited because I wanted to get rid of a typo. Well, I think the Bible salesman's Cadillac should get 3, I thought I said 3 but I guess I said two, but I MEANT 3. Bubba's should get at least 2 as it is involved in minor action and is seen through-out the entire movie. It may not have great views, but it is seen none the less. And, I don't see a continuity problem any where>?>?>?>?
