Just came back from seeing the movie at the theater. From what I saw, the 504 taxi had the 1972+ rear pillar vents, 1975+ door handles, and 1975-76 grille. |

Picture Car Warehouse has this car listed as a 1975 (non USA spec): http://picturecarwarehouse.net/cars/6611/peugeot/504/ I know some of the scenes with the Peugeot taxi was filmed in Turkey, so perhaps a double filmed in a studio back lot in California? |

The Picture Car Warehouse website shows the car in full Tehran taxi livery, so perhaps they bought it after filming. For what it's worth, the production notes (PDF file) say that the airport scenes (filmed in California) were done before location filming in Turkey, so I'd be surprised if they shipped the 504 out to Instabbul and back instead of getting a double in Turkey. Perhaps they bought two 504s and sent one west and the other east. The main picture and all the thumbnails are from Turkey. I bought this car a few years back in holywood car lot and i have it right now it was going to be a parts car but is now my daily because ben affleck drove in it if anyone is wondering the story of it. |
