Volga never had dealer network in UK (unlike for instance Moskvitch). They are listed as theoretically available from the late 50s in LHD, but only May 63 - Feb 67 in RHD, after which no listing at all. My guess is special order only for "ordinary" customers plus a few for diplomatic purposes, but total sales would be well under 100 each year and probably more like 10-20 at most. I don't remember ever seeing one. |

They became a minor UK retro-cult car in 80s and 90s like Trabbis and Tatra 603s, with old ones being bought cheaply in former East bloc and shipped to UK - all the footage would have been LHD?? |
