That color wasn't used until the late 1980s (Bordeaux Metallic-1989 from what I've been able to find), and I believe the wheel covers were introduced in 1984 on a blue Wolfsburg Edition, then used on the rest of the line until the end. http://www.gti16v.com/vwcolors.htm -- Last edit: 2013-02-09 22:39:17 |

The T3 on the main pic has also the late Caravelle-bumpers and plastic side panels, plus the late bigger VW-badge in the middle of the back door. |

1989 Vanagon brochure, Carat on the front page, and feature list showing object car appears to have Carat items Wikipedia is a great resource, but please don't trust them with your life |
