Checking the plate resulted in this being a 2005 Fortuner 2.7 G Luxury, which explains why this thing had pre-facelift taillights. Made in Thailand. |

So this one has been in an accident and fitted with a newer fascia? |

Fitted with a newer face, yes. Been in an accident? We don't know. Also the 4.0 V6 model was never offered here, only made for export markets. |

Not so fast and where's your provided plate info? I'll better take that instead, it's my job for that however... (would've been me providing that more earlier in prior, knowing I also have access to SAMSAT); Something wrong here, it appears to be a facelifted 2008-2011 by that front fascia. However, provided thumbnails actually reveals it has earlier 2005-2008 taillights and wheels. Also, I don't think the badgings denoting the 4.0-litre V6 is very genuine, because as far I know, the 4.0-litre V6 is an export-only engine and was never offered here in our market. I could also assuming it's likely a potential rental because a year after this movie, Mata Batin (2017) featured a similar exact vehicle as this one (same light beige color with same facelifted 2008-2011 front fascia, 2005-2008 wheels, and 4.0-litre V6 badgings). Well, that all finally revealed with one important detail... Real Jakarta plate (B 2796 BD). Nopol/No. Polisi: B 2796 BD Merek / Type: TOYOTA / FORTUNER 2.7G,LUX AT Model / Pembuatan: STATION WAGON Tahun: 2005 Warna Kendaraan: SILVER METALIK Warna TNKB: HITAM Bhn Bakar / Cylinder: BENSIN / 2694 CC Masa Berlaku STNK: 31-10-2022 Jatuh Tempo Pajak: 31-10-2022 Status: MASA PAJAK MASIH BERLAKU ——> 2005 2.7 G Luxury 4x2 (as 4.0 V6 w/ 2008-2011 Front) [TGN61] Plate data confirms a hackjob. Case closed; that explains why it had pre-facelift taillights and wheels, and fake 4.0-litre V6 badging, all along. Earlier 2005-2007 models in Indonesia were initially assembled in Thailand. Persuading brochures suggested the 2.7 G and 2.7 G Luxury models were only available as 4x2 [TGN61]. -- Last edit: 2026-04-09 11:45:00 |
