When did the 3rd taillight come in? I have seen this style of it on UK cars, and while this kind of thing was mandated in the US older Morgans seemed to use another style there. |

Pictures of UK cars in my Morgan bible don't show it on a captioned 97, but do on a 99. Text is silent, but it looks like it clips onto the spare tyre as an accessory-like fitting so is not fixed - it has to be removable and re-attachable for when the spare is used. Which in turn means UK and US dates could easily differ. |
