I do not know what make of taxi this is but it is probably the same type that appears in "Blackmail" /vehicle_84492-unknown.html Another type of Unic???? -- Last edit: 2007-11-10 10:52:02 |

From the radiator shape this appears to be a Beardmore taxi about 1923-29. A Beardmore MkII probably. See the similar taxi here on the right, but with an earlier simplified style of front mud-guard a Beardmore MkI. Link to "www.theclydebankstory.com" ![]() After the war with a shortage of London Taxi's Beardmore was one of the few manufacturers, including Unic, that produced taxis in large numbers. The Mk.II was produced from 1923 onwards. http://www.lvta.co.uk/history.htm -- Last edit: 2012-05-12 15:40:15 |

No bright scuttle plate visible, likely to be (although cannot be certain) Super Beardmore MkII. see notes here... /vehicle_882278-Beardmore-Taxi-1923.html (Note, the spare wheel is a complete assembly and not of the detachable rim type) |
