JohnW wrote A Bedford CA minibus appeared in the 2019 Christmas special, reg number was UDT 318 but that appears to be a false plate for series as it does not come up on DVLA site. UDT series is Doncaster 1956 when clearly the Bedford is 1960s

Trying to work out what this is. Camper-like body but minibus interior, high roof with front display, but not normal ambulance. Possibly built as a patient transport bus, with the dinky rear step??

The side glass conversion is by Martin Walter but the 'Dormobile' side flash is I think just paint no side trim outline.

As suggested an ambulance or minibus I guess.

Pretty sure that is an Utilabus by Martin Walter, as Sunbar suggested. They'd provide almost any interior the customer desired, maybe except for a fireplace or a flowerbed.

Front display either at extra cost or added later on, side flash probably just imitated when the car was repainted.

This style of body was used for ambulances like this one https://www.flickr.com/photos/phillisca/48408666352/ so may be a minibus conversion for the programme. It may indeed be the one pictured on Flickr with the fake number plates

If it's the same one (DXG 950D), it was apparently originally the Dorman Long & Co. works ambulance (by Martin Walter) from Lackenby steelworks near Middlesbrough, absorbed by nationalisation into British Steel in 1968 (comments here). Apart from losing its presumed camper interior in that and the other flicker photo and the over-riders, plus a part repaint, it looks a good match.

 @for the location scouts: which exact beach is it on the main pic?

Looks like Luskentyre on Harris - have been there twice but in the famous Scottish Rain so haven't really seen its glories.

Seems it's not DXG 950D which is retained in its works ambulance state - Link to "www.flickr.com"
