The foreground car is the 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne that features in many scenes driven by Candace Hilligoss. |

Hi Firebird86, My concern is that this great image doesn't come up when you search on Chevrolet or Biscayne. I'm not from the US so I lost hours sorting out the difference between the Fury and the Biscayne. Even though I recognised the black car as being from the Chrysler stable by the rear stabilisers (Plymouth, DeSoto, Chrysler, Dodge) and the foreground car GM (Chevrolet, but would have mistakenly called it an Impala or Bel Air). I searched the web all night and found a Plymouth Valiant that looked remarkable similar to the Biscayne but I couldn't find any image of that model Biscayne with "Biscayne" clearly stated on the side in front of the driver's door nor written any where at all. It's great that guys like you who know these cars have taken the trouble to identify them. I'd appreciate it if there was a second reference to the same image to remove any confusion. When I watch the image of Candace pulling up in the filling station there is an unintelligible word printed there. I like the bridge shot that shows the Chev Fleetliner and Master side by side. When you search on either of them they come up with the appropriate response. I hope I don't sound like I'm being difficult. I just love the car and the film and think it's great to have the answers. |

There can be only one main picture per car. As these images are taken from movies there can sometimes be hundred of possible views per car. This image is shown in the comments of the Chevrolet Biscayne page, though. |

"I like the bridge shot that shows the Chev Fleetliner and Master side by side. "This image is shown in the comments of the Chevrolet Biscayne page, though." It might be obvious to those in the US who know this is a Biscayne is but it isn't obvious to me. |

The usual policy is the opposite: trying to have a different picture for each car. And if we use that side view for the Chevy, then the front view is not visible from general list. -- Last edit: 2007-12-09 17:59:17 |

The Biscayne badge in front of the driver's door on the Chevrolet has reappeared. Grounds for dispute as to whether it's the same car. Note that it's missing here ... /vehicle.php?id=112827 T -- Last edit: 2007-12-13 09:51:03 |
