That is an `89 LeSabre T-Type that I owned until 2016. It was used in a few other scenes as well. |

Post still needs updating to `89 Buick LeSabre T Type. Those vintage license plates were mine too. That plate design was 1984-2001. |

My Buick would have also been in the climactic scene when they kiss after buying the ice cream in Hyde Park. A series of vehicles drove in circles with their high beams pointing at them from behind. But my high beam switch was not working so they pulled me out of the line after my first pass... \o/ It was also used in the background of "Empire" in 2015, and as John Pankow's lead character's car in the pilot of "Doubt" also shot in Chicago. But it never aired and production ceased after the pilot was shot. The upside was that Academy Award winner Mercedes Ruehl left her lipstick stained coffee cup behind. So I have that "collector's item". |
