1968-70, for sure, is there a Clipper L chrome waist line visible? With a Pop-up top, what would be the name of the camper conversion? |

It's not neccessarily an original Camper-conversion. It may be just a profane Bus with a selfmade Camper interior. Even a Clipper is not confirmed, as it has no two-tone paint and not the Clipper-spec chrome. |

Apart from the obvious black bumper - I wanted to see the rubber bits but that may be just the black paint shining - there seems to be a chrome waist line like the Clipper L had. That would be unique to the Clipper? Could be just light reflections. No two-tone paint in brochure? The air intake surrounding is missing, it has a plain black windshield moulding - but that would have to be replaced over the years anyway. For the camper equipment, it looks like a T1 Westfalia, but not quite. But to remove the 'unknown', could it be listed as a camper (Campingwagen)? -- Last edit: 2016-03-18 01:08:54 |

You're right, by that link it indeed may be a Clipper (it's at least identical to the car in the brochure), but about an authentic Camper I wouldn't be sure. Did Westfalia took Clipper as basis for their conversions? AFAIK not, so a later selfmade converted Bus/Clipper is quite likely, too. |
