Nothing of the engine? I like to see a flathead but I don't have much hope with that steering column...

So it has a Chevrolet engine in it.
The Mercury (ie Ford) V-8 engine of this era was a flathead.

Yet another victim of a pig heart transplant.

BTW; it has been fitted with a 1947-1948 Ford grille and fenders but the side trim on the hood is correct for a Mercury.
