Probably a cut down fire engine? The cab looks different from the other G-13s listed though.

@ Sandie:
Looks like a 100 Series 'Commando' again...
They're called G-Something when fire engines, in the IMCDb?

JCB is probably the best person to ask about that as he started using the G-Something naming: /vehicle_729454-Dodge-G-13-1982.html

JCB wrote However most contemporary reports and fleet lists of these fire appliances call them G-13 .

:)

It appears that the accurate generic name is 100 Series Commando. About the G-Something:

(1980 brochure covers)

These brochures are about the old cab, but I assume the facelift didn't change the way the G-Something was given: if you click to get the bigger versions of the pictures, you'll see that G11 means a 11 tons GVW, G12 a 12 tons one, and so on. To be exact, respectively 11.2, 12, 13 and 14.5 tons ;)

Any more veiws of this vehicle as I am curoius as to what it is, looks like some sort of emergeny vehicle .

I agree with calling these Dodge 100 Series Commando .
In fire service lists they all called Dodge G13 's which as elMeR points out is the 13 ton version which was the most popular size used for fire appliances .

Best I can do:
[Image: 004153.jpg] [Image: 004159.jpg]

It's a double cab (like the fire engines) but seems to have had a truck body put on it and it has also been painted grey. In the episode, it's parked outside aa warehouse where a music video was being filmed (and a massive fire had just broken out). I was thinking it was meant as some kind of filming vehicle (lighting truck?) or band transport. For the briefness of the glimpses of it, it may have been something used as a filming vehicle for this series and quickly parked in shot for set decoration.

Yes that would fit, Lee Film Lighting used to use grey trucks ( maybe still do !) .

Six-stud smaller diameter wheels indicates I think, the 7.5-Ton gvw truck, so a Dodge 100 series Commando G08.

Previously called the Commer Commando G7560 or G7575, later the 1982 Dodge 'Commando 2' 100 075C when purchased by the Renault/PSA joint venture's 'Talbot UK'.

Any badges on the side (either in the recessed area or lower on the door) look to have been removed.

After 1987 as the Renault Commando the lightest truck was the G12.

...it appears that the naming convention on IMCDb has been G-08, G-11, G-13 etc. in the past rather than G08, G11, G13 therefore G-08 has been used here (may need revising based on Dodge adverts).
