LVX 943J was Twin Cam registered March 71 and used by Makinen/Liddon on 1971 EAS and challenged for lead early, but then had lots of problems and finished 20th. Stayed in East Africa for Vic Preston Jnr to use in various local events to end of 71, and then supposed to have returned to UK and sold on in early 72 to Rod Chapman as a rallycross car. As seen here LVX 943J has no rally insignia, so I can only guess this is recce footage (from either 71 or 72) clumsily inserted into the proper film for some strange reason. |
