It looks like a 1959 Chevrolet Impala or Bel Air.

That lower bar in front of the grille indicates this is an Impala.

I agree.

It doesn't take much effort to find Bel Airs or even Biscaynes with that bumper guard too.

I'll make it easier, here's comparison of the 1959 Bel Air, Biscayne & Impala

All I've ever seen with one of those 'deluxe bumpers' were either Impalas or El Caminos, and all were very heavily loaded? (But anything is possible just by checking off the right box on the order form......)

Best to assume this the Impala then?

Unfortunately, not. We can simply list this as 1959 Chevrolet for now.

The online 1959 Chevrolet brochure shows only one clear front distinction between the three series.
Impala: Chrome jets on the fender tips with chrome streaks leading back from them along the fender tops.
Bel Air: Chrome jets without the streaks.
Biscayne: No fender jets.

Using this, the subject car is not a Biscayne since it does have the jets.
The angle/distance precludes seeing whether or not there are chrome streaks.

One unknown, though. Were these ornaments available as options on the lesser series?
