To clear some of the confusion going in my head when did the Ford Thames brand started to be used. I always believed that most of Ford’s commercial vehicles from the 1950s to the mid 1960s used the Thames brand? |

This should just be Thames. Only the final few months of 400E were badged as Ford Feb-Sept 65, until dropped for Transit launch. Similar change point for Thames 5cwt/7cwt [307E] into Ford Anglia Van. Apparently the introduction of new Ford D-Series truck range in Feb 65 meant a Big Decision to drop Thames branding across all models. |
