zodiac ◊ 2014-06-23 22:05	Unfortunately there's not much difference between the 740 and the 760, and also the 740 was frequently delivered with leather upholstery. It all depends on the year this particular car was made, earlier 740's (1984-86) didn't have s/s on the door handles, and especially the low spec GL, but GLE did, at least from 1987. If made from 1982 up until 1986 it's far more likely to be a 760. My daily driver, a 1988 Volvo 740 GLE, looked like a 760 when new, but it was allowed to, as 760 was updated that year. -- Last edit: 2014-06-23 22:07:44

zodiac ◊ 2014-06-24 21:55	Then it's far more likely a 740 than a 760 because of the numbers sold. Besides this car has black (that is not painted) door mirrors, nor the waist line sticker (two parallel stright lines) and no chrome around the rear wheel arch. All of those standard fittings on the 760. I strongly believe this is a 1986+ 740.
