Was purchased because that is when the first gas crisis hit and the vehicle I owned prior to the Colt was a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport 340. Horrid gas mileage-@16mpg on the interstate. Wish I still had one (with a slant 6). Prior to the Dart was a 1967 Chrysler Newport, that sad got better mileage tan the Dart (20 mpg on the highway)....and a 25 gallon tank which got me from SC to UVA on one tank with gas left over
