According to the IMDB, the film was shot in Malaysia and Singapore, not Hong Kong, so the "Kowloon Motor Bus" identification needs to be double-checked.

Delete the word "Kowloon Motor Bus". Hong Kong buses had no this color.

This picture was taken from Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The bus plate no. BY 2650 stands for the state of Selangor and was registered in 1973. It belongs to Len Chee Omnibus Co. Ltd (later Sdn, Bhd). The bus route no. is 176 from Kuala Lumpur (Jalan Ampang) to Ampang Town (12km from Kuala Lumpur). Model no. Seddon mk. 17. Many bus operators in Malaya & Singapore (later Malaysia)in the 50s, 60s & 70s use this type of bus.

Presumably bodied in Malaya, not Hong Kong, if built new for a Malayan operator. Metal Sections (later Duple Metsec) made bus body kits for local assembly overseas.
