Early 54 plate, appropriately from Bedfordshire, but useless for dating the ex-WW2 truck.

Looks like same truck with repainted body for some reason as cab same paint throughout.
The kids don't paint it do they ?

I can't answer that as I've only seen a collage of short extracts within something else. As I understand it, the Bedford makes a single continuous trip across London with one kid's bed in the back, and the gang follow its journey by jumping on the bus. So no way it could get repainted.
