I have a picture of a similar tanker in "Peter J. Davies, The world encyclopedia of trucks, Hermes House, London 2002". It says it's a 1965 Steyr Type S862. The only differences I can see are a non split wind screen and some more ornaments. I've tried to search the internet for "Steyr S862" but came up with nothing. |

By comparing the pics on the linked site, the 586 and 580 had shorter bumpers (or wider fenders). First model with these fenders/headlights was 480. Logo on the grille fits it. -- Last edit: 2014-06-07 00:44:11 |
