The hero is loaned the truck by a friend and he almost hits a little girl with it, and it turns out her parents had her stand in the middle of the road so somebody would come along and stop. He does, and they swipe the truck at gunpoint (nevermind the perfectly usable cars sitting unattended in the same scene, to say nothing of their daughter nearly dying).
