The EMW name was only introduced on 5 June 1953. Untill that date all cars built in Eisenach were called BMW, even though it was in the Sovjet-zone of Germany. The 321 was built in 1939-1942 and then again from November 1945 to March 1950. Post-war production almost reached a total of 9000 cars, of which more than 5000 went to the Sovjet Union. So I think we can assume this is a post-war version. |
