1965 Dodge Monaco or Polara. |

Per my Burness album, the Monacos had no hood ornament but fender top ornaments instead. Besides, the Monaco only came as a 2-door hardtop in '65. -- Last edit: 2013-08-24 14:53:25 |

Did a quick brochure check online. This is a Custom 880 per the heavy upper trim. The Polara had thinner trim mounted lower on the body side crease. |

I think this is a Canadian model; I'm not sure what the proper model name is. Possibly Polara 880, but as yet unconfirmed. There are a couple inconsistencies with the US model. The US Custom 880 sedan was a six-window town sedan with windows in the C-pillar, and this car has a Plymouth dashboard. 1965 US Dodge full-size dash: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" 1965 Plymouth full-size dash: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" -- Last edit: 2013-08-24 20:42:22 |

Found a brochure! Confirmed, Canadian Polara 880 based on upper trim and rocker trim; similar Polara 440 had no rocker trim (nor did the US Custom 880 for that matter): Link to "www.ebay.com" |

Thanks, Tim. (I'm often thrown by these Canadian variants!) Checking the guidebooks/brochures carefully shows in fact only a 6-window USA version was available in the Custom 880 line for '65. |
