Interesting - boot badge is clearly E-Type not XK-E. I've sometimes wondered how long XK-E name was used in US and CDN - did it last all the way through until end of S3 in mid 70s or was it abandoned earlier?? |

To my knowledge the name "E-type" was never used in the US. This was has either been rebadged, or it was a non-US model that was federalized later. |

Googling some pictures suggests boot badges in US always said E-Type when they were fitted (1964 S1 4.2 onwards). So the unanswered question is did XK-E boot badges ever exist?? If everyone's happy that XK-E name was always used in US despite the badging, that's fine. |

Huh...further research does indeed suggest that all US cars were badged as E-Type, even though the model was always marketed here as the XK-E. Weird. |
