Its a EL long wheelbase version, denoted by the nameplate on the liftgate. The badge on the right-hand side indicates Flex Fuel capability. Rear vantage point also shows the Expedition’s rather massive arched control-arms for the independent rear suspension (IRS). They look a bit ungainly and are quite overdone in robustness, but that’s so they can handle ultra-high trailer loads – and helps the Expedition boast such a high towing capacity. |
