Two views of the rear: ![]() ![]() Judging by my small error, this car should be listed as a 1963 Series IV model. |

This Humber shows up in nearly as many episodes as the Batmobile! Years ago at a fan event where Adam West, Frank Gorshin, Julie Newmar, and producer Lorenzo Semple Jr. were attending, I asked if that car belonged to one of them or to William Dozier, but none of them knew. I bet it belonged to someone on the crew, or maybe one of the directors... ![]() |

Rear window profile rules out Series IV, so it must be Series III, 1960-62. |

An interesting car to feature, I spotted it outside the club in episode 1.01, along with a lot of other British cars. Were these sold in the USA, even as a special order through Chrysler dealers? |

Yes - Rootes had a US distribution network, mainly for Sunbeam Alpines at that point, later reinforced by Imp sales. Other Rootes-jewels - Humbers, Minxes, Rapiers etc - trickled through as well. A bit early for Chrysler links. |
