Plate is BFPO or Austrian, not normal UK. |

Not Austrian. It's RHD anyways. |

Interesting question then - as BFPO, was it supplied in UK or D? |

Why 'Made for' ? It has been stated that LHD/RHD does not justify a 'Made for'. On the other hand, if it was called 'Estate' rather than 'Turnier'....![]() |

Done. It was supplied to a Brit after all. |

Please set as "built in Netherlands" & "made for GB" In the 50s and 60s, all Ford Taunus exported to RHD countries were converted in Amsterdam. Source (German only): http://www.fomcc.de/niederlande.htm |

"converted in" is not "made in", and the "made for" on the site is not used for RHD/LHD differences |

P3 Taunus assembly in Amsterdam confirmed. The RHD conversion was an additional process which we're trying to track for where these may crop up. |

There's one Taunus marked as Built in: TH — Made for: J. ![]() /vehicle_96907-Ford-Taunus-17M-P3-1961.html |

^ oops - corrected. Didn't intend to enter as built in TH but am beginning to wonder if there was an early-60s Taunus assembly site somewhere around Pacific for sightings in TH, HK, Singapore, Japan etc |
