As far as I can tell, Riviera was first available in UK from Oct 62 as a special order and LHD (as here), but I think there was an approved RHD conversion done in UK (Ruddspeed??). Anyone able to spot any made-for-UK elements (lights, mirrors etc)? I think it's chosen on purpose. Always referred to as a Riviera never a Buick. Talked about multiple times even when it's not around. -"Are you after the girl or the car?" -"Oh I'm not fussy" or "A girl with a Riviera can please herself" and many other instances |
