1972 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport due to this front end style and the hubcaps. |

Is there a clearer view of the road signs in the background? Then the location would be identifyable. It's in or around my birthtown Essen anyways - see the illuminated pub-sign of "Stern-Pils" -- Last edit: 2013-02-27 22:31:55 |

Ah, thanks. Btw.: for IMDisappearedBeerBrandsDb: the "Stern-Brauerei" doesn't exist any more, as the http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wick%C3%BCler-Brauerei neither (a large logo of it is visible on the Ford 17 M-pic, Raul has linked. |

Oh man!!! My life would be complete circa 1972 had I Catherine Schell with a Camaro Rallye Sport!!! Nothing hotter than a smokin' babe with a muscle car, and who knows how to handle it! But she would have been literally robbing the cradle as I was only one at the time!!!! |

Best I can tell, yes, the front end with urathane "nose" and the separate chrome bumpers (rather than a continuous chrome bumper on other variations) equals a quick ID of a Rally Sport. It also had hidden windshield wipers. The Rally Sport lettering can be seen on the fender of this example. Check box Z22 when placing an order, you got the Rally Sport front that was available on any level of Camaro from base six-cylinder to Super Sport. The hubcaps would have not been a part of the Rally Sport package, but obviously it could be configured that way. This must be a GM press car as there were so many new GM cars in this series filmed in England and on the Continent. |
