At some point during the first four seasons, Kelly's car was upgraded from an '84-'87 red e30 cabrio to a '90-'92 pictured here, also red, with the much nicer shorter plastic body-colored bumpers and integrated fog lamps. I took a snapshot of this from a late season four episode on DVD. I would assume this car is at least a U.S.-spec 1990 or later after I googled images of '89 models and found them to have the older, larger bumpers, but I could be wrong.

Glad you do, as I enjoy posting here too and taking in how the cars on the roads in TV shows and movies shape the scenery and setting. This looks like a 1992-1993 325i Cabrio, not a 1989 model. The larger bumpers were replaced in 1991. Kelly never had a 1984-1987 model. Her's was at earliest, a 1989 model. -- Last edit: 2012-12-01 09:17:22

The larger bumpers were replaced in 1991. Kelly never had a 1984-1987 model. Her's was at earliest, a 1989 model.
