Looks like it rolled over... part of any car chase?

Not 1994-1998. Those model years had different tailights. This is a 1997-2000 model.

This is a 1995-1998 750iL (although it is more than likely just a badge as it is a short-wheelbase and has 740i wheels and window trim)

1995-1998 had the prefacelift taillights shown here, and the 1999-2001 had the facelift taillights with a crystal lens.

Its specifically a 1998 model.

Beautiful car, or at least it was beautiful... :/

Surprising lack of tints for such a range-topping version.

The one they crashed is probably not a 750; even at an angle it does appear to be the standard wheelbase.

The one seen in the beauty shots where the car is in pristine condition is however the long wheelbase 750.

The 750 used the five-speed "Steptronic" ZF 5HP30 manumatic gearbox, with a open rear differential. Rear-wheel electronic traction control was used to simulate a limited-slip differential by using the ABS brakes to clamp down on the slipping wheels. The head protection system (HPS) was added for the 1998 model year (the HPS logo is visible in the last thumbnail capture), featuring a tube-like airbag that would protect the driver and front passengers head in a side collision.

HPS joined the dual front SRS airbags and dual front side-impact (door mounted) airbags for a total of six airbags.

And that's why I provided all of those interior shots. Thank you as always Neptune :)

It seems that the crashed one lacks the chrome trim on the bumpers. In return, the trunk emblem of the running one is a bit exfoliated:

I've always liked the E38 7-series as well, partly because of its role in Tomorrow Never Dies :D It's better looking than the models that have succeeded it.
