It's a Sport Coupe, not a "Sport Hardtop"!
GM used to call 2 door hardtop models "Sport Coupe" and 4 door hardtop models "Sport Sedan". There's no such thing as "Sport Hardtop"

See the 1962 full size Chevy brochure.

It was only in 1962 model year only. There is 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe with different roof style sold such as at /vehicle_395380-Chevrolet-Bel-Air-1962.html whereas the 1962 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop Coupe as mentioned at /vehicle_381002-Chevrolet-Impala-1847-1962.html

There is no mentioning of the name "Hardtop Coupe" in Chevrolets own brochures though:

The 1962 Bel Air kept the 1961 "bubble top" roofline on it's hardtop coupe model, but both the 1962 Bel Air with the "bubble top" hardtop and the 1962 Impala with the more formal roof line and large "C" pillars like most other 1962-64 GM B body hardtop coupes were called "Sport Coupe". And the hardtop sedans were called "Sport Sedan".

If you wish to label this Sport Coupe, you may do so.

I guess what George H. Dammann wanted to differenate between the old style roof on the Bel Air series and the new roof style on the Impala series in the 1962 model year
