It was also the last vehicle to be produced at the plant, where the T-Model would also be manufactured much earlier and which had been there for more than 80 years. And, as Ford demonstrated already with the Mercury GM, the very last Ford Ranger went to a fleet. The Ranger had to go in order to push the enormous, oh-so-fuel-efficient F-series.
