I've always wondered...shouldn't this be Origin: Japan, Built in: Korea, Made for: USA, since it was originally designed by Mazda, then licensed to Kia, who then imported it to the US as the Festiva, which was the first name for the original JDM version? Link to "en.wikipedia.org" |

1990 L Plus in Hot Red. The thick molding went away after 1990. 1990 L would have a body colored B-Pillar. 1990 LX has red accent stripes on the bumpers and molding. |

Should have front motorized shoulder belts. Not B-pillar mounted belts. Maybe its a Canadian Festiva. Since motorized belts were not allowed there. |

just watched the episode on YT , has a MPH speedometer getting more strange ... in the episode , it has a yellow speedometer .. seems like 1989 does have this but 1990 has a white one .. older with a newer grille ? after all, they paid $500 for it and loses a mirror along the way... -- Last edit: 2026-03-17 06:51:29 |

Watched episode. Saw plate CA 6PRU357. No smog test results or Vin. Carfax says it's a '88 L trim level. A '90 to '92 grille was put on it at some point. -- Last edit: 2026-03-17 23:16:27 |
