This is the "mascot" for the Antique Archaelogy business, seen in every episode. Ambassador Super? |

I would like to grow that in my garden! (Been waiting for that car to be posted for ages!) -- Last edit: 2011-07-28 19:23:15 |

The more I look at the fender badge in other shots, the more I'm convinced it's a Statesman Super. It's definitely a something Super. |

I just saw a later episode in which Mike Wolfe said this was a '49. Could he be right about that? |

It has the 1950 style bumper guards, but the bumper could be a replacement. However, I don't think Nash used the Super designation in 1949 (at least not on the fender badge). They didn't use the Statesman name in 1949 either; models were 600 and Ambassador. Maybe a 1949 with a 1950 front clip? -- Last edit: 2011-07-30 20:26:48 |

No, it's a '50. In another episode, I saw the LR fender which had a door-covered gas filler cap. The '49's was exposed. |

Well, that shows what they know, apparently not as much about cars as they know about motorcycles and bicycles. See, that's why we have this site! |
