Maybe a Speedster built by APAL or a "copy" of an APAL (same shape), US replica have a different shape. |

By the spec, some details... but it's really difficult to see in this picture. |

Because the incredible valuable originals weren't used for not-high-end -resp.trash- movies |

errr how can you call Manta Manta a trash movie ???? you're a GTI fan or something ? it has better plot and acting than most modern Hollywood garbage this days -- Last edit: 2012-04-26 13:33:14 |

Well, you cannot call it a cineastic masterpiece either. But indeed, for me as a "Ruhri" it's interesting to see the locations and the characters (which in the real life really appears sometimes). If you are in the mood, you can have fun watching this movie. At least it's the same as with trashy 70ies music: everyone says "Aahh, this is awful and embaraasing, a real pain in the ..." - but if everyone is drunk enough, everyone knows all the texts... ![]() |

I remember in the 1990s Porsche tuner Albert, based in Oberhausen (that's near the filming location), sold replicas like this for around 45,000 DM (=23,000 EUR or 30,000 USD) under their brand. Don't know if they built or just imported them. |
