1940 Plymouth BUT, was in 1940 De Luxe the top of Plymouth line and Roadking the lower line? For 1941 I find Special De Luxe and De Luxe lines. I suppose this would be a 1940 Plymouth De Luxe Station Wagon [P-10], right? If it is, is a nice find. The 1st. 1940 wagon in the site. |

That's correct. Roadking [P-9] was the lower line and DeLuxe [P-10] the top of the Plymouth models. Only 80 Roadking wagons and 3126 DeLuxe wagons were built in 1940. |

In 1940 , Plymouth offered the Roadking ( P-9 ) and the DeLuxe ( P-10) line. This is a 1940 DeLuxe ( P-10) Station Wagon :the Station Wagon built since 1938 was built on the DeLuxe chassis, but in 1938 and 1939 it was listed in Plymouth's commercial car series whereas in 1940 it became listed in the passenger car series |
