According to Glass's: - Sept 77 2.8i S existed as specific model - saloon only - until July 78, then stopped - Aug 78 2.8i GL added S pack option to become GLS - saloon and estate - Oct 81 2.8i GLS saloon became 2.8 Injection, with added front spoiler and Recaro seats - Jan 84 - it gets a bit garbled, but 2.8 Injection may have been dropped or been reverted back to 2.8i GLS which reappears
