Since the 300SL "Gullwing" model was introduced in 54 and carried on until 63, is it safe to say this example would be the earlier production (54-58)?, and from what I've found, it is the W198 with the 2995 cc M198 I6 SOHC engine and 4-spd manual. |

Actually it carried on until 1957. 57-63 was the Roadster. |
